About the Blog:

The Rainy Day Review began on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in August 2011.  It is a blog that focuses primarily on sex and sexuality.  Expect posts about sex, gender, body image, health, fetishes, education, science, society, local and national news, legal issues, and personal experiences.  Resources, how-to guides, and book and product reviews will abound.

About the Author:

I’m Mimi!  I’m a graduate school student who moonlights as a dog walker and an employee at a fetish-wear boutique and adult toy store.  (Or is it the other way around?  Dog-walking sales girl by day…Grad student by night!  Either way…)  I am a first year student in Widener University’s dual degree program, studying for my masters in Social Work and in Human Sexuality.  I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, spent the last four years in small town Ohio, and have recently relocated to the City of Brotherly Love, where I am happily navigating the joys and sorrows of city living.  I am a passionate citizen of the local kink community, a lifelong blogger, and a sex toy connoisseur.  I’m also an amateur photographer, a collage artist, and an occasional author of poems, short stories, and erotica.

Hi. In your “True or False” section someone asked if she was deformed because she has longer labia minora and someone else claims to have none at all. You then said that it is a myth that some women do not have labia minora. This is not a myth at all! I really and truly do not have them and neither does my mother. Granted, we are probably the deformed ones and not the women with longer labia minora, but we still exist!

False, I’m afraid. You still technically have them 🙂 Everyone does! They may just be very small or less noticeable in style.
